Paco Casasola, BSc, MSc (Hons)
Music therapist (HCPC registered),
Occupational therapist (HCPC registered),
Musician
I have worked as a therapist for over 20 years. My relationship with music started in my early childhood, when I studied piano, choir and music theory at Badajoz Conservatory in Spain. I later graduated in BSc Occupational therapy (UEx, 2003) and MSc Music Therapy (ISEP, 2009). I also have undertaken training in Psychodynamic Music Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Model of Creative Ability and other evidence-based approaches.

I am a vocational and enthusiastic professional experienced in working with individuals, groups and the community within public (NHS), private and third sector organisations. For the last 25 years, I have lived, worked and traveled around the UK, Spain, France and South America. I speak fluent English, Spanish and French.

I have a vast experience working with adults with a range of needs. I work with people regardless of having a diagnosis or not. The clients I work with have often experienced trauma (PTSD, dissociation and complex PTSD), depression, anxiety, dementia, autism, psychosis and other non-pathology specific areas.
As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, I have written and produced original music and arrangements for most of my life.
I am aware of structural and societal inequalities and strive to be inclusive and to expand this awareness with the clients I have the chance to work with.
From the start, I prioritise transparency and open communication, working with you to establish shared goals that evolve throughout our sessions. This clarity helps us create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, where your progress remains our primary focus.
